On the afternoon of October 5, 2020, in Hanoi, the General Department of Taxation held a Typical Taxpayer Honoring Ceremony and implemented a business support program of The Taxation sector. At the ceremony, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) ranked among Top 30 outstanding enterprises with the fulfillment of tax obligations over the course of 30 years.
The ceremony was to recognize and honor typical taxpayers from all economic sectors bringing high added value to the economy through growing production and business revenue and have made remarkable contributions to the country’s socioeconomic development and the national budget, especially the development of the taxation sector from 1990 to 2020

ACV has managed, invested and operated 22 Airports nationwide, including 9 International Airports and 13 Domestic Airports. In the past years, ACV’s production and business activities have sustainably maintained a high growth rate. The Company has constantly ensured aviation safety and security as well as passenger service quality, which actively contributes to the socio-economic development and national defense.
In the period from 2015 to 2019, ACV’s operational performances have constantly recorded a double-digit growth rate, videlicet:
- The passenger volume reached 457.2 million with an average increase of 17 percent per year.
- ACV’s advanced infrastructure for logistics allowed the record of 6.522 million tons of cargo, and facilitated its airports to accommodate 3.01 million aircraft movements, increasing by 12 percent and 14 percent on average, respectively.
Particularly in 2019, ACV’s airports handled more than 116 million passengers, in which 41,7 million international passengers and 74,3 million domestic passengers, increasing by 12 percent year on year. ACV facilitated 1.541 million tons of cargo while the aircraft movements reached 748.395 flights, rising 2.1 percent and 14.8% compared to those in 2018.
Regarding to Financial highlights, in the period from 2015 to 2019, ACV achieved an impressive record as follow:
- The total revenue reached 78,723 billion dong with the average annual growth rate of 14.7 percent;
- The consolidated revenue was 82,660 billion dong;
- The profit before tax recorded the amount of 28,938 billion dong, marked an average growth rate of 48.14 percent per annum;
- The consolidated profit before tax was 33,445 billion dong;
- As September 30, 2020, ACV’s stock market capitalization was 144,335 billion dong, equaled to 6.2 billion USD;
- The total fulfillment to the state budget reached 21,910 dong (excluding rent / land tax and other fees), an average growth of 25.98 percent per annum.
From the beginning of 2020 until now and amid the severe growing of COVID-19, ACV has drastically implemented numerous measures to prevent and control the pandemic according to directions of the Government, the National Steering Committee for Disease Control, Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam in order to assure the safety and healthy for all its employees and passengers.
Overview of the ceremony.
Airports has closely coordinated with airlines and related units to apply the code of safe practices during COVID-19 and safety operation procedure for aviation passengers in period of COVID-19, to create the trust for passenger in aviation services, and together with the whole country actively achieve the “dual goals” of the Government including pandemic elimination and national social-economic development.
ACV concentrates all resources to accelerate focal projects such as T3 Passenger Terminal Construction project at Tan Son Nhat Inl’t Airport, Passenger Terminal T2 Expansion and New Apron Construction projects at Noi Bai Int’l Airport, T2 Passenger Terminal Construction project at Phu Bai Int’l Airport, and other apron expansion projects at high frequency operation airports, namely Noi Bai Int’l Airport, Tan Son Nhat Int’l Airport, Da Nang Int’l Airport, Cam Ranh Int’l Airport, Lien Khuong Airport, Cat Bi Int’l Airport, Vinh Int’l Airport and Phu Bai Int’l Airport.
Together with airport infrastructure investments, ACV drastically facilitates the application of information technology in operation management, in particular, 21 ACV airports will complete and put into operation the non-stop electronic toll collection in the third quarter of 2020; aviation information management system will be equipped to all airports; A-CDM system; ACV takes advantage of all resources to put the investment of Long Thanh Int’l Airport phase 1 into reality once the Government approves ACV to be the project owner.
Over the years, ACV has actively fulfilled the corporate social responsibilities with the variety of charitable activities such as sponsor for Charity Fund of Transport sector, donating for Vietnamese heroic mothers, donating gratitude house for poor households and families in difficult circumstances, giving scholarships to student in remote area, organizing 35 blood donation programs with 5,354 turn of participants and 4,030 blood unit collections.
ACV Youth Union regularly organizes volunteer activities to support passengers during peak holidays at the airports. In the period from 2015 to 2019, ACV Youth Union has gathered more than 16,166 members to contribute more than 35,338 hours of volunteer work. Those activities have actively made a good impression and enhanced brand reputation in the eyes of passengers.
