The ACI Airport Health Accreditation recognition ceremony was virtually organized at the Airport Operations Control Center (AOCC) at Da Nang International Airport on December 15, 2020, at 9 am.
The accreditation is valid for the next 12 months. This is a recognition for DIA in term of a high standard in upholding health and safety in its operations.
The ceremony was honored to welcome Mr. Luis Felipe de Oliveira - Director General of ACI World, Mr. Stefano Baronci – Director Genetal of ACI – Asia Pacific.
From DIA: Department of Health, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Middle Airports Authority, Border Security at Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT), Da Nang Control Disease Center (CDC), Da Nang City Tourism Promotion Center and Press & Media.
The AHA program was established to support airports around the world in demonstrating to passengers, staff, regulators and governments that they are prioritizing health and safety in a measurable and an established manner in their ongoing fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
At the ceremony, Mr. Le Xuan Tung - Director of Danang International Airport expressed his gratitude to all the relevant units operating at DIA for their efforts to successfully complete Covid-19 pandemic prevention and also appreciate the ACI board together with the AHA team with their review evaluation for the procedures of control and prevent of the pandemic at DIA in able to receive AHA certification.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Luis Felipe de Oliveira - General Director of ACI Word highlighted: 2020 is a particularly difficult year for the aviation industry. ACI congratulates Da Nang International Airport on achieving AHA certification. This achievement proves to all the passengers, staffs, and relevant units operating that Danang International Airport is committed to providing high standards of health and hygiene. Health and Satisfactions are always DIA top priorities.
Together with DIA, Noi Bai International Airport (NIA) and Tan Son Nhat International Airport (TIA) have been awarded AHA certification by ACI.
Being awarded the AHA Certificate is the consequence of most endeavor of all staffs during the implementation of measures against Covid-19 pandemic. The AHA certificate shall motivate all the airports for the best exercise of safety assurance, and build the passengers’ confidence when enjoying services at the airports. And also, is a foundation for the government to consider for reopening international routes between certified airports and to create a safe travel corridor and reduce the damage caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
