Within the structure of the Program of Action to improve the quality of passengers’ services at all the airports of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), from May 1st, 2020, Da Nang International Airport will discontinue the flight status announcements at Domestic Terminal (T1) to minimize noise.

Jumping on the bandwagon of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Danang International Airport is the second airport implementing this program in Vietnam. ‘Silent airport’ is a trend recently adopted by many major international airports for the sake of increasing the passenger satisfaction through comfortable and convenient enhancement and harassed noise reduction.

From May 1st, 2020, all flights status information will be updated on FIDS screens located inside the terminal in two languages: Vietnamese and English. Therefore, passengers need to actively observe the FIDS screens as well as all the sign boards at the terminal to update their flight information, and be present on time at the boarding gate to go on the airplane.

The technique of using FIDS instead of broadcasting announcement is considered as one of the significant changes to develop the quality of services at the terminal, carrying a quiet and relaxing space for all passengers, also creating a civilized and modern airport image as international standards
