The first Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises opened in Hanoi on Monday (12 Oct) to honor typical excellent examples awarded the title of Labour Hero and National Emulation Soldier as well as collectives and individuals have made outstanding achievements over the past five years.
At the ceremony, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) was honored to receive the Government's Emulation Flag for its outstanding achievements in emulation movements in 2019.

ACV has managed, invested and operated 22 Airports nationwide, including 9 International Airports and 13 Domestic Airports. In the past years, ACV’s production and business activities have sustainably maintained a high growth rate. The Company has constantly ensured aviation safety and security as well as passenger service quality, which actively contributes to the socio-economic development and national defense.
In 2019, ACV’s airports handled more than 116 million passengers which includes 41.7 million international passengers and 74.3 million domestic passengers, an increase by 12 percent from the past year, 2018. ACV facilitated 1.5 million tons of cargo while the aircraft movements reached 748.4 flights, rising 2.1 percent and 14.8 percent respectively compared to 2018.

From the beginning of 2020, ACV has drastically taken various measures to prevent the spread of Covid according to directions of the Government, the National Steering Committee for Disease Control, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to assure the safety and health for all its employees and passengers amid Covid 19.
The code of safe practices has been applied and the safe operating procedure for passengers have been carried out by ACV, Airports and concerning agencies amid Covid 19 to create the trust for passengers to have a part of fulfilling the double goals of the Government containing the spread of the COVID-19 and promoting economic growth.
ACV has accelerated key projects such as the T3 Passenger Terminal Construction project at Tan Son Nhat Inl’t Airport, Passenger Terminal T2 Expansion and New Apron Construction projects at Noi Bai Int’l Airport, T2 Passenger Terminal Construction project at Phu Bai Int’l Airport, and other apron expansion projects at high frequency operation airports, namely Noi Bai Int’l Airport, Tan Son Nhat Int’l Airport, Da Nang Int’l Airport, Cam Ranh Int’l Airport, Lien Khuong Airport, Cat Bi Int’l Airport, Vinh Int’l Airport and Phu Bai Int’l Airport. ACV will concentrate all resources to accelerate the first phase of Long Thanh In’t Airport project as soon as ACV will be assigned as the investor by the Government.
