The 9th Beijing Global Friend Airports CEO Forum, organized by Capital Airports Holdings Co., Ltd. (CAH), the governing body of Beijing Daxing International Airport (BDIA), took place from 23rd to 24th September 2024 at the Hilton Beijing Capital Airport Hotel, Beijing, People's Republic of China. Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) was invited and represented by Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung, Deputy General Director of ACV, together with over 300 civil aviation professionals from around the world, to attend the first in-person gathering since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

This event holds great significance as it strengthens the sister airport relationship between ACV and BDIA, fostering deeper connections with the global aviation community, promoting new flight routes, expanding collaborative opportunities, and advancing the development of modern airport systems managed by both parties.
Under the theme "Building an Airport Community with a Shared Future", this year's CEO Forum engaged in high-level dialogue related to several topics, including best practices, industry trends and challenges, sharing perspectives and strategic visions to promote the development of aviation hubs and airport-related economies, innovation, and solutions to enhance safety standards, operational efficiency, and service quality within the airport sector. Additionally, the forum explored future trends and pathways towards sustainable development, underscoring the commitment to build a resilient and forward-looking airport community.
More than 300 leaders and experts in civil aviation from around the world gathered in Beijing for the event, including senior executives from international aviation organizations, sister airports of both ACV and BDIA, and other regional airport operators such as ACI APAC & Middle East, Airports of Thailand (AOT), Korea Airports Corporation (KAC), among others.

During the CEO Forum event series, Deputy General Director Nguyen Duc Hung also visited and worked with the leadership of Capital Airports Holdings Co. Ltd. and its subsidiaries. He shared insights on airport operations and management, while discussing potential cooperation opportunities in advancing sustainable development for both sides.

Following the signing of the Sister Airports Agreement in 2023, ACV and BDIA have intensified collaboration and shared expertise, leveraging the strengths of both organizations for shared growth and development. This has further enhanced the efficiency of airport operations and management, improved the quality of both aeronautical and non-aeronautical services, and supported training, education, and the exchange of practical experience. Furthermore, it has fostered the expansion of flight networks and strengthened efforts to promote tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.
