Regarding efforts to eradicate the Covid-19 pandemic, the global economy, and particularly Vietnam, show signs of recovery in 2022. The aviation industry is progressively recovering as well. In the first ten months of 2022, traffic volume through ACV's airport system exceeded 82.4 million passengers, with domestic passengers estimated at nearly 74.3 million, achieving 98.8% of the 2022 plan. Despite reaching just over 8.1 million, international passengers have tended to increase over the course of the year. In addition to maintain the safety and security, standardize the operational procedure and ensure pandemic prevention, ACV has drastically secured resources, resumed business activities to meet the recovery of the current aviation market as well as the booming of the market in the future.
Ensuring the absolute safety and security
The practice of ensuring aviation security and safety in the current context of domestic security situations and conflicts in certain countries around the world is a particularly important task that the ACV's leaders has given special attention to. ACV has excellently maintained the absolute aviation safety and security, contributed to national defense over the years. Ensuring the safety and security to the highest level is also a foundation to improve passengers’ experience when using ACV’s services.
ACV has prioritized the health safety of passengers by implementing a number of anti-epidemic measures. In addition, ACI has granted Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) certification to seven airports of ACV, including Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Phu Quoc, Cat Bi, and Lien Khuong. Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai, and Phu Quoc international airports has also been recognized as official members of the Safe Corridor Initiatives program developed by Incheon Airport from Korea, and together with the Green Corridor program of ACV to contribute to the mission of boosting passenger confidence when traveling through ACV's airports.
Ensuring the safety and security in operations at ACV’s airports
Investing and developing the airport infrastructure
To accommodate the growing number of domestic and international passengers, ACV always makes constant efforts in investing and optimizing the airport infrastructure. Over the years, the focus of investment on the synchronous development of airport technical infrastructure, combined with the modernization of the management and operation process, has resulted in dramatic changes in terms of scale, appearance, and service quality at ACV's airports over the years. Specifically, from 37.6 million passengers in 2012 to 116 million passengers in 2019, the operating capacity of ACV's entire airport system increased by more than 2.8 times.
ACV is considered the synchronous development of airport technical infrastructure together with the modernization of the operation management process as key tasks to meet the various increasing demand of both domestic and international passengers. In addition to the construction of Long Thanh International Airport, the mega national project, ACV has also focused on the construction of Terminal 3, Tan Son Nhat International Airport; Terminal 2, Phu Bai International Airport; and Terminal 2, Cat Bi International Airport as well as the expansion of Terminal 2, Noi Bai International Airport and Dien Bien Airport.

ACV always strives to improve the service quality at its airports, establishing cutting-edge standards for the ultimate benefit of passengers. In recent years, ACV has prioritized the improvement of IT application in order to optimize synchronization in the operation procedure and simultaneously improve the ability to control airports' activities.
Improving the service qualities
ACV is undergoing data centralization and digital transformation across all aeronautical and non-aeronautical operations sectors. Moreover, ACV has been applying and enhancing contactless technology, biometric technology, and artificial intelligence (AI) to procedures ranging from check-in to boarding in an attempt to develop smart airport systems. ACV hopes that implementing IT will help passengers save time at airport, thereby enhancing their experience when using its services.
At present, ACV is gradually using ACDM in airport operations, thereby assisting the airport in optimizing its infrastructure and minimizing the proportion of aircraft delays and taxiway waiting times.

ACV has gradually proved to be the leading corporation in the civil aviation industry nationwide in construction investment, management and operation. This practice contributes to the process of socio-economic development and international integration significantly along with ensuring national defense and security.
