At 12:45 PM on July 1, 2025, Da Nang International Airport welcomed flight PR 585 of Philippine Airlines - the national airline of the Philippines - carrying 193 passengers on its inaugural flight to Da Nang city. Attending the welcoming ceremony were leaders from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Civil Aviation Authority of Central Vietnam, the Da Nang International Airport Border Gate Police, and the Da Nang International Airport Customs Department.

This flight marks the official launch of the Manila – Da Nang route by Philippine Airlines, with a frequency of 3 flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The airline will operate 51 round-trip flights using the Airbus A321 from July 1 to October 25, 2025.

The event featured various activities, including a water cannon salute, artistic performances, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the presentation of flowers and souvenirs to the first passengers. Thus, in 2025, Da Nang International Airport has welcomed 08 new airlines with 06 new routes. To date, Da Nang International Airport has 45 international airlines operating 31 international routes.
