On April 30, 2025, Chengdu Airlines officially launched its international route connecting Hanoi (Vietnam) and Chengdu (China). The route launch marks a development in the cooperation between Noi Bai International Airport and Chengdu Airlines, contributing to the promotion of trade and tourism between the two dynamic cities.
Chengdu Airlines operates the TFU – HAN route with a frequency of 4 flights per week, departing on the evenings of Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, utilizing modern Airbus A320 aircraft. The estimated flight time is just over 2 hours per leg, offering a convenient and time-saving option for passengers traveling between Hanoi and Chengdu – a Chinese city renowned for its distinctive cultural heritage and rich culinary scene.
Hanoi becoming Chengdu Airlines' 5th international destination (following destinations in Thailand, Russia, and Tajikistan) and its very first route to Vietnam marks a significant step in the airline's strategy to expand its international network.
Notably, the launch of this route by Chengdu Airlines coincided precisely with the peak April 30th holiday period. This timing not only signifies an expansion of the international network but also positively contributes to the growth in international passenger traffic through Noi Bai International Airport.
As of the end of April 2025, including Chengdu Airlines, a total of five new international airlines have launched routes at Noi Bai this year. These are: AirAsia Cambodia, 9 Air, Xiamen Airlines, Lucky Air, and Chengdu Airlines.
Noi Bai International Airport is committed to continuously partnering with and supporting new airlines throughout their operations. Concurrently, the airport pledges ongoing efforts to enhance service quality, aiming to provide the best possible experience for passengers traveling through the facility.
