Starting from August 1, 2025, Con Dao Airport has officially launched a system for electronic identification, authentication, and biometric recognition, marking a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey. Instead of presenting ID documents and boarding passes as before, passengers flying with Vietnam Airlines, VASCO, and Vietjet Air can now complete procedures quickly and conveniently be using facial biometrics—Face ID—via the VNeID app.

On July 30, 2025, Ca Mau Airport held a ceremony to officially receive the entire land area for the project on land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement to expand and upgrade Ca Mau Airport.
