On April 23, 05 additional security scanners and gateways were put into operation at the Hall A of domestic terminal, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the area for VNA, Bamboo and Vietravel passengers to improve passenger services, meet actual operational requirements and reduce congestion at security screening areas. This practice would enhance the operating capacity through security gates at Hall A granted by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam from 1,728 pax per hour up to 2,400 -2,500 pax per hour.

Specifically, Tan Son Nhat International Airport urgently site check the location to transfer 05 security scanners from the international terminal to the Hall A of the domestic terminal.
02 security scanners were additionally installed at check-in counter H, ground floor.
With the additional installation of scanners, the domestic terminal is currently provided 30 security scanners that basically reduce congestion at the security screening area, in which Hall A and Hall B are equipped 19 machines and 11 machines, respectively.

In order to meet the high demand of travel during upcoming national holidays and summer peak 2021, the Airport has allocated more staff and youth volunteer teams to support passengers as well as closely coordinated with airlines, ground service units and relevant stakeholders to operate more effectively.
