After one month of operation, Passenger Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport has achieved significant initial milestones in passenger facilitation and has notably contributed to alleviating operational pressure on pre-existing Terminal 1.

To date, after one month of operation, terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport has handled 1,464 flights movements and served 355,306 passengers, while rigorously upholding operational safety standards. Effective 04:00 on May 17, 2025, Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Vietnam Airlines officially transferred all remaining Vietnam Airlines domestic flight operations to Passenger Terminal T3.

Passenger Terminal T3 is equipped with advanced aviation technologies, with a primary focus on optimizing the passenger experience. The ACV Self-service system has provided passengers with a seamless process, from automated check-in at common-use kiosks to self-service baggage drop. Upon completion of these procedures, passengers can progress to their designated aircraft autonomously through electronic gate systems (E-gates).

The ACV Self-service system is regarded as a significant step forward in enhancing a convenient and safe travel experience. It helps passengers save time, eliminates the need to present physical documents, optimizes space, reduces queuing, and allows airline staff to focus on providing better support services.

In addition, Terminal 3 also offers a wide range of amenities, from diverse dining and shopping areas to comfortable waiting lounges, free drinking water stations, phone charging zones, and free Wi-Fi access, meeting passengers' work and leisure needs while waiting at the airport.

A representative from Tan Son Nhat International Airport stated that during the first month of operation, the airport focused on stabilizing operational procedures and ensuring absolute security and safety for all flights and passengers. This included operating a free bus route within the apron area, directly connecting the T3 transit concourse to Gate A2 of T1, operating from 7:00 AM to 3:00 AM the next day, with a frequency of every 20 minutes, available to passengers who have completed check-in procedures and have a boarding pass.

Passengers can also choose other suitable transportation options such as ride-hailing services, taxis, or the airport's free shuttle bus, running every 15-20 minutes on average from 04:30 AM to 00:30 AM, for travel between Terminals T1, T2, and T3. Relevant functional departments have maintained close operational coordination to proactively address emergent issues and implement appropriate rectifications.

The inauguration of Passenger T3 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on April 19, 2025, two months prior to its scheduled completion, not only contributed significantly to accommodating the augmented travel demand originating from/ to Ho Chi Minh City and adjacent provinces nationwide during the commemorative period of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) but also substantially alleviated operational pressures on T1. Particularly, T1 had previously contended with considerable strain attributable to escalating passenger volumes, most notably during the current year's peak summer travel period. The new facility has effectively mitigated congestion, elevated service quality standards, and reinforced operational safety.

Looking ahead, ACV is committed to close monitoring operations, diligent consideration of stakeholder feedback, and the implementation of ongoing enhancements to ensure the progressive refinement of Tan Son Nhat's Terminal 3, positioning it as an increasingly sophisticated and hospitable aviation portal.
