On October 7, 2022, at the 16th Asia - Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) Ceremony, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) was honored to receive this prestigious award. This is the fifth consecutive year that ACV has been named to the APEA - Corporate Excellence Category, in the Transportation Industry, for its exceptional achievements in business exceeding the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA), the region's largest prestigious award, is held annually in 14 Asian countries and markets, and is organized by Enterprise Asia - a non-governmental organization in pursuit of entrepreneurship development across the region. APEA’s mission is to bring together leading entrepreneurs and organizations from across Asia to promote greater entrepreneurship innovation, fair practices and growth, thereby creating a successful entrepreneurial ecosystem that will shape Asia sustainable economic and social growth. With the theme 'Connect - Converge - Celebrate', the year 2022 marks APEA's 16th year in Asia and 6th year in Vietnam.

This is the five consecutive year ACV proudly win the APEA award in the Corporate Excellence Category

ACV is responsible for the business of 21 airports across Vietnam, including 8 international and 13 domestic airports. ACV strives for excellence in operations by instilling the four core values of Safety and Professionalism; Cohesion and Consistency; Transparency and Integrity; Inheritability and Belief, which has enabled the enterprise to ensure absolute aviation safety and security, as well as improve the passenger experience at ACV's airports.

The operational situation at ACV's airports has gradually recovered since the positive resumption after the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, passenger volume in the first eight months of 2022 is at more than 66 million passengers, with domestic passengers increasing 19.9% compared to 2019; international passengers, while reaching just over 5 million passengers, decreased 81.5% compared to 2019 but tended to increase over the months. Faced with positive indications in the aviation market and the reopening of commercial aviation businesses in many countries around the world, ACV has immediately synergized all resources and improved production and business activities to meet the demand of the market's recovery as well as the future global boom.

Following Covid-19, ACV aims to resume normal operations as soon as possible to assist aviation recovery.

Besides, ACV diligently collaborates with sister airports, domestic and international partners in order to reconnect and develop more international routes. At the moment, ACV has signed memorandums of understanding with a number of major airports around the world, including Korea Airport Corporation, Fukuoka International Airport (Japan), S.E.A Milan Airport (Italy), Aeroports de Paris (France), Incheon International Airport Corporation of Korea... aims to exchange, support mutual benefits, and improve service quality and passenger experience. 

ACV is considered the synchronous development of airport technical infrastructure together with the modernization of the operation management process as key tasks to meet the various increasing demand of both domestic and international passengers. In addition to the construction of Long Thanh International Airport, the mega national project, ACV has also focused on the construction of Terminal 3, Tan Son Nhat International Airport; Terminal 2, Phu Bai International Airport; and Terminal 2, Cat Bi International Airport as well as the expansion of Terminal 2, Noi Bai International Airport and Dien Bien Airport.

Airport procedures can be streamlined with the implementation of new technologies to minimize passengers' waiting time. Moreover, ACV has concentrated on digital transformation in aeronautical and non-aeronautical activities, thereby improving passenger experience. With the orientation of developing smart airport model, ACV has been applying and upgrading contactless, biometric, and AI technologies for terminal facilities from check-in to boarding gate areas, step by step deploying A-CDM at its airport.

ACV has gradually proved to be the leading corporation in the civil aviation industry nationwide in construction investment, management and operation. This practice contributes to the process of socio-economic development and international integration significantly along with ensuring national defense and security.
