On May 6 and May 7, 2021, Vinh International Airport has coordinated with the Center for Disease Control in Nghe An province to deploy COVID-19 vaccination for around 340 employees at the Airport.
Following the directives of the Steering Committee for Disease Control of Ho Chi Minh city and the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh city, Tan Son Nhat international airport has coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Center for Disease Control to conduct random tests of aviation workers and arriving passengers at domestic arrival terminal from May 5, 2021 to accelerate the Covid-19 control and prevention.
On May 6 and May 7, 2021, the Ho Chi Minh Center for Disease Control has cooperated closely with Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Southern Airports Authority, ground service units, airlines together with other relevant stakeholders working at the airport to continuously inoculate 1,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines for frontline employees who directly work and serve international flights at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
Phu Cat international airport coordinated with Centre Disease Control of Binh Dinh province and Preventive Health Center of Phu Cat district to organize the vaccination against Covid-19 phase 1 for 90 airport’s employees who directly contact with passengers, luggage and cargo from May 4 to May 7, 2021.
Airports of ACV welcomed close to 1.5 million passengers from April 28 to May 2, 2021, the peak travel period of National Reunification Day and May Day. The daily average traffic of domestic passengers during these holidays surged roundly 65% compared to that of March, 2021, with most airports seeing increases of 30-175% in passenger volume. Likening to the National Reunification Day and May Day holidays in 2019 (with the same 4 days of leave and not affected by Covid-19), the domestic passenger traffic increased by 29.9%.
