Carry-on bag
Your carry-on bag must not exceed 7 kg and the maximum dimensions for a carry-on bag are 23 centimeters x 36 centimeters x 56 centimeters (9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches).
If any bags are larger than the carry-on size listed above, or your airline can refuse to transport and require passenger to check in their bags.
List of hazardous materials prohibited in carry-on bags or by person
1. Weapons or implements designed to injure or endanger human life or objects that are mistakenly intended to be:
a) Pistols, rifles, submachine guns, shotguns and other guns with similar features and effects;
b) Firearm parts;
c) Air-rifles of all kinds such as pistols, rifles and shotguns with ball bullets, paint bullets, rubber bullets;
d) Flares and signal guns;
đ) Homemade guns, javelin launchers;
e) Slingshot;
g) Laser guns or laser-emitting devices (except for laser pens used in teaching and giving presentations); h) Daggers, swords, spears, marks, bayonets, blades, machetes, punches, maces, bows, arrows, crossbows;
i) Items and toys that resemble real weapons such as guns, bombs, mines, grenades, bullets, torpedoes, cartridge case, and objects craft from cartridge case.
2. Tools / equipment designed to stun / faint or immobilize the subject:
a) Shocking devices such as stun guns and electric batons;
b) Instruments / equipment used to stun / faint or kill animals;
c) Chemical sprays, gas sprays used to inactivate or paralyze such as tear gas sprays, acid solution sprays, tear gas sprays, and insect repellent sprays ( except for aerosols used to disinfect on aircraft).
3. Sharp, sharp objects that can be used to cause serious injury:
a) Objects made for chopping, splitting, such as axes, milling cutters;
b) Razor blade and cutter;
c) Knife with blades (not including the handle) of more than 6 cm in length or more than 10 cm in total length of handle and blades;
d) Scissors with blades of more than 6 cm from the pivot point or more than 10 cm of the total length of the handle and blade;
đ) Other sharp or pointed objects that can be used as weapons with a total length of more than 10 cm;
e) Tripod, cane, umbrella stick with metal tip.
4. Working tools may be used to cause serious injury or threaten the safety of aircraft:
a) Crowbar, hoe, spade, shovel, sickle, chisel, pickaxe;
b) Drill driver and countersink, including manual hand drill;
c) Tools with sharp or pointed blades over 6 cm in length and can be used as weapons such as screwdrivers;
d) Hammer, wrench, spanner and pliers with the length of more than 10 cm;
đ) Saws and saw blades, including manual saw;
e) Torch;
g) Tools for screw driving and nailing;
5. Objects and tools with blunt-pointed that can be used to cause serious injury;
a) Sports sticks such as baseball bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks, billiard sticks, ski poles;
b) Batons such as rubber batons, metal batons, wooden batons;
c) Martial arts training tools and equipment (blunt-pointed, sharp, sharp edges).
6. Flammable and explosive substances that can be used to cause serious injury or threaten the safety of aircraft:
a) Ammo;
b) Detonator, slow-burning fuse
c) Replica or imitation explosive devices;
d) Mines, grenades and other military explosives;
đ) All types of firecrackers such as firecrackers, fireworks, flares, signal flares and pyrotechnics;
e) Ammo smoke and smoke generator;
g) Explosives and gunpowder;
h) Gasoline, oil, lighter fuel, unsafe matches (strike-anywhere matches), and objects containing liquid oxygen.
