On April 2nd, 2025, Da Nang International Airport had hosted a special event to celebrate the arrival of two new international routes to Da Nang. The event took place in a vibrant atmosphere, rich in cultural identity, marking the beginning of an exciting new tourism season. 

The first flight, VJ52, operated by Vietjet Air, departs from Almaty, Kazakhstan, and arrived to Da Nang at 11:00 AM. Approximately 365 passengers came to Da Nang International Airport, bringing with them great enthusiasm and anticipation for their journey to explore Central Vietnam.

The second flight, 8M-454, operated by Myanmar Airways International, departed from Yangon, Myanmar, had arrived at 19:17 PM on the same day.

To welcome the inaugural passengers of these two routes, the occasion featured a variety of special activities, including traditional cultural performances, photo opportunities, and the presentation of flowers and gifts to lucky passengers. This initiative created a warm and hospitable first impression of Da Nang while enhancing the airport’s reputation on the international stage. 

The event attended by representatives from the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the Middle Airports Authority, the Immigration Police at Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Airport, Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC (AHT), along with representatives from the Myanmar Embassy in Vietnam, tourism partners Crystal Bay Tours and Rustar DMC Vietnam, and airline representatives from Myanmar Airways International and Vietjet Air, as well as members of the press and media. 

The ceremony not only be an occasion to welcome passengers from two friendly nations but also an opportunity to promote Da Nang as an attractive and safe tourist destination, while reinforcing the important role of Da Nang International Airport in connecting and developing international tourism.

During the inauguration ceremony of the new route, sympathy was expressed for the profound losses suffered by the people of Myanmar due to the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck at noon on March 28th, 2025. In support of the affected communities, Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC donated 100 million VND to help the people of Myanmar overcome this immense hardship. A representative of the Embassy of Myanmar in Vietnam extended heartfelt gratitude to the Vietnamese people in general, the residents of Da Nang in particular, and especially to the officials and employees of AHT for their generous and meaningful contribution.
