In the early morning of the Tiger Year 2022, Danang City welcomes passengers on the first flight to Danang International Airport with warmth and hospitality of the citizens, making new promises and new beginnings for 2022.

The first flight no. VJ624 of VietjetAir departs from Ho Chi Minh City and lands at Danang International Airport at 10:20am on 1st February 2022. The first flight carries 230 passengers arriving to Danang.

With the desire to bring a friendly and welcoming image of the City, Danang International Airport has cooperated with Danang Tourism Department to bring passengers a spectacular lion dance performance featuring the Vietnamese Tet traditions.

In particular, the top 10 out of 31 finalists at the Miss Tourism Danang 2022 also participate in greeting visitors at the ceremony.

After opening tourism, domestic flights to/from Danang is increasing gradually and it currently operates 08 routes with a frequency of more than 220 flights per week including: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Buon Me Thuot, Hai Phong, Can Tho. In the period of the holiday (09 days from 29th Jan to 6th Feb 2022), it is expected to operating 404 domestic flights with 44,055 passengers.

During the peak period of Tet, Danang International Airport and airport service providers take the initiative in operational coordination, quality improvement of flight and passenger services, as well as strengthen measures of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, which allowing passengers to travel with greater peace of mind and delivering excellent airport experiences.

With the programme on promoting tourism - aviation cooperation and flight routes to Danang holding recently on 18th Jan 2022, Danang International Airport expects the aviation industry in 2022 to set back the previous level as before COVID-19.
