In order to meet the demand of tourism growth, cultural and economic exchange between Vietnam and India, Vietjet Air has simultaneously launched 02 international routes connecting Danang City to Mumbai City and New Delhi known as the capital of India. The launching ceremony of new routes occurs on October 18th at 15:10pm at International Terminal – Danang International Airport.
The launching ceremony of India - Danang routes are attended by Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - General Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and heads of departments, agencies and local authorities. Besides, Mr. To Ngoc Hai – Deputy Director of Danang International Airport and Mr. Do Trong Hau - Deputy general Director of AHT Company are also in the ceremony.
Accordingly, the ceremony to welcome the first flight from Mumbai to Danang (BOM-DAD) has organised on 18th October, 2022 with a frequency of 03 flights/week on Monday, Thursday and Friday. New Delhi – Danang route (DEL-DAD) will officially open on 19th October, 2022 with 04 flights/week on Tuseday, Wesnesday, Saturday and Sunday.
To celebrate the first flight, a water cannon salute and a show of luxurious carnival costumes were performed to welcome passengers from India to Danang. Besides, the event gives passengers a deep impression of the hospitality and warmth of Danang’s people with flowers, souvenirs and publications of the City.
India is considered one of the potential and key markets that Danang City is focusing on to exploit in 2022-2023. The connection via two direct flights from Mumbai and New Delhi to Danang will open up many opportunities and make an important contribution to enhancing trade, cultural and social connections between the parties.
