At 11:00 on March 30, Da Nang International Airport welcomed the first flight of the new route from Vientiane (Laos) to Da Nang. Flight QV317 operated by Lao Airlines brought 140 passengers to the beautiful and hospitable Da Nang City on the last sunny days of March.
Participating in the welcome ceremony with the participation of: representatives of leaders of Danang Department of Tourism, Middle Airports Authority, Da Nang International Airport, Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT). Da Nang City Tourism Association, Vietnam Airlines, Lao Airlines and media agencies in the city.
Welcoming activities such as: giving flowers and gifts, vouchers for the 3 lucky passengers, giving gifts to all passengers, tourist mascot activities, taking pictures at the arrival hall of the international terminal.
Representatives of Da Nang International Airport and representatives of Da Nang Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotion Center and Airlines welcomed, gave gifts and congratulated passengers on the first flights landing at Da Nang International Airport.
Previously, on March 26, Da Nang International Airport has also welcomed tourists on the first international flight resuming from Narita (Japan) to Da Nang city after the Covid-19 pandemic period. Flight VN319 operated by Vietnam Airlines brought 178 passengers to Da Nang International Airport at 14:25. This will be a regular flight with 4 flights/week from Narita to Da Nang and return.
From the event of welcoming the first international flight back to Da Nang, from March 27, 2022 until now, the number of international flights to Da Nang has reached an equivalent of 50% compared to 2019. Currently, at Da Nang International Airport, there are 26 airlines operating 40 international routes to 40 destinations. This is considered a success of Da Nang International Airport in particular and Da Nang tourism industry in general in efforts to resume international flights after the Covid-19 pandemic.
