In the afternoon of July 19, 2024, a special event unfolded at Danang International Airport as Hong Kong Airlines operated its first flight to the coastal city. Flight HX548, carrying 152 passengers, soared into Da Nang's skies, a clear testament to the success of route promotion, collaboration, and market expansion efforts by various agencies and entities.

Currently, the Hong Kong - Da Nang route is served by two major international airlines: Hong Kong Express with 2 flights per day and Hong Kong Airlines with 1 flight per day. Operating A320 aircraft, Hong Kong   Airlines is the first new airline of 2024 and the 24th international carrier to join Da Nang's regular flight network, marking a resurgence in the Hong Kong market and international markets overall after challenging years in the aviation industry.
