On September 24, 2024, the first flight of Malaysia Airlines departing from Kuala Lumpur carrying 160 passengers will officially land in the marvelous city of Da Nang. This important milestone marked not only the region's aviation development but also an opportunity to encourage economic and tourism development between the two countries.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the City Department of Tourism, Da Nang, Central Airport Authority, Da Nang International Airport, Danang International Airport, Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC (AHT), as well as representatives from Malaysia Airlines and other press media.

To celebrate this event, at the international arrival terminal of Da Nang International Airport, hosted a variety of thrilling activities including a welcome water salute, along with memorable performances for passengers. In addition, passengers on the inaugural flight had the chance to receive appealing gifts from both the airline and the Da Nang Department of Tourism.

Previously the leaders of Da Nang International Airport held a meeting with the regional director and representatives of Malaysia Airlines in Vietnam one day before the welcome ceremony. According to Mr. Kamili MD Amin, the regional director: “We have been operating in the Vietnamese market for over 20 years with great success. We are optimistic that the route in Da Nang will develop sustainably, especially with the first flight operating at full capacity, which is a positive sign for increasing flight frequency in the future.”
As the central international airport for the Central Highlands region, Da Nang International Airport consistently provides optimal conditions for airlines and is committed to delivering high-standard experiences for passengers. Currently, flight MH748 departs from Kuala Lumpur, while flight MH749 operates from Da Nang International Airport every day of the week, making it easy for travelers to plan their trips. Malaysia Airlines will utilize modern aircraft such as the B738, A333, and A332 to ensure safe and comfortable flights for passengers.
