At 07:15 AM on the first date of 2024, a sequence of events to welcome New Year flights took place successfully at Da Nang International Airport (DIA). This is an annual activity with the purpose of welcoming a lucky and prosperous new year and contributing to attracting passengers to the bustling coastal city of Central Vietnam.

The occassion was a collaboration between Da Nang International Airport and Da Nang City Department of Tourism, Central Airport Authority, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT), Tourism Association Da Nang city schedule, Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Airlines and many more travel businesses, media press agencies in the city.

Throughout this year’s series, Da Nang International Airport was pleased to welcome nearly 140 passengers on flight VN157 from Hanoi - Da Nang (operated by Vietnam Airlines), over 140 passengers on flight VJ881 from Incheon, Korea, operated by VietJet Air) and at 13:40 PM, we will have 154 passengers from Cherry Blossom Land - Japan on flight VN319 from Narita.

In addition to the main ceremonies, in the welcome event such as giving flowers and gift cards to lucky passengers. 2024 opens with impressive new activities such as taking souvenir instant photos, and meaningful gifts from organizers.

Currently, the international air passenger transport market is recovering after the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, Da Nang International Airport's expansion of new international flight networks to Narita and Nagoya (Japan), Manila (Philippines) are considered as positive signals of flexible adaptation of the aviation industry both domestically and internationally when facing significant challenges.
