At Notice No. 330/TB-VPCP dated September 15, 2020 of the Government Office, the Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh has allowed the resumption of regular international commercial flights between Vietnam and some partners. This is marking the restoration of international commercial flights in September 2020 after more than five months of suspension due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.
From September 18th, 2020, routine flights between Vietnam and 6 countries and territories will be restarted, including Japan (Tokyo), South Korea (Seoul), China (Guangzhou), Taiwan (Taipei), Cambodia (Phnom Penh) and Laos (Vientiane). The maximum reopening frequency is 2 flights/week per an airline party and partner (the number of flights will increase, depending on actual condition).
In order to be ready for international flights service in new conditions, the Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation Jsc (AHT) has proactively set up the operation process and passenger flow process, ensuring safety for passengers and staff.

Danang International Airport also actively coordinates with AHT Company, airlines, ground service companies and relevant agencies to inspect and ensure the safe operation of equipment and facilities, follow safety airport operational procedures and code of safe practices in COVID-19, maintain rules and regulations prescribed by the Government, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and Airports Corporation of Vietnam.

On October, Danang International Airport expects to conduct a rigorous assessment process for safety and health measures at the airport under the AHA Medical Accreditation Program conducted by the Airport Council International (ACI).
