On August 12th, 2020, the first flight no. VN7160 from Danang to Hanoi rescued 207 tourists (including 203 adults and 04 children). This is the first of the seven flights specially arranged to bring back nearly 1,500 tourists strannded in Danang as part of the city’s social distancing measures to battle the resurgence of COVID-19 from July 28th, 2020.

All passengers are equipped with free medical protective clothings, have their body temperature taken, fill medical declaration and wear masks to ensure safety as well as the pandemic prevention and control. Direct – contact staffs are aslo strictly required personal protective equipment, performing hand hygiene frequently, wearing gloves and masks when working; reminding passengers to maintain social distance; simplifing service standards to limit unnecessary exposures.

Danang Tourism Department presented gifts to each passenger before boarding, including Danang specialities and Danang Leader’s heartfelt letters to thanks for believing and choosing Danang as a favourite tourist destination over recent years.

Vietnam Airlines expects to operate one more flight Danang - Hanoi at 16pm on the afternoon of August 12th and 01 flight Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh at 15pm on August 13th. In addition, Vietjet Air will provide 02 flights to Hanoi departing at 9am and 16pm on August 13th and two flights to Ho Chi Minh City at 9am and 16pm on August 14th.
