At 9:33am on 28th October, 2022, the flight no. JX701 of Starlux Airlines from Taipei – the national capital of Taiwan has landed safely and brought 171 passengers to Danang city. This is the first flight to mark the reopening of the Taipei - Danang route after more than 2 years of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Danang International Airport, Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT), Starlux Airlines and Tourism Promotion Centre - Danang Tourism Department have coordinately held the welcoming ceremony.

In January 2020, Starlux Airlines officially debuted the Taipei - Danang route with 2 flights/week, but it was suspended due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the new normal, Starlux has pioneered the connection back to Danang, bringing opportunities for passengers in the Central Vietnam to visit to Taiwan. The schedule is 1 flight/day to Danang City. In the period from December 2022 to March 2023, Eva Air, China Airlines and Bamboo Airways plan to operate 2-7 flights/week.
