On April 29th, 2022, Danang Tourism Department, Danang International Airport and AHT have cooperated with Vietjet Air to hold the ceremony to welcome the first international flight from South Korea, which is an important step in re-connecting commercial route between South Korea and Danang City in 2022, recovering economic and trade activities between the two destinations after two years of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first flight no.VJ878 from South Korea on a round trip Incheon – Danang bringing 194 passengers landed at 9:50 a.m. at International Terminal T2 - Danang International Airport. Vietjet Air has resumed flights immediately after the Korean Government removes tightened COVID-19 control measures on arrivals from Vietnam.

To welcome the flight, Vietjet has performed the dance performance "Have a date with sky " which is also a meaningful message that the airline commit to bringing passengers high-quality, safe and comfortable flights. Besides, Danang City has brought special gifts for all passengers on the first flight.

After exchanging information with the Korean authorities to remove travel restrictions and promote commercial routes from South Korea, the airlines have planned to restore the flights between Korea and Danang in the period of April - October 2022, including:

1. Vietnam Airlines (ICN - DAD, 7 flights/week from July 1st to October 29th)

2. Vietjet Air (ICN - DAD, 7-14 flights/week from April 28th to October 30th | TAE - DAD, 7 tickets/week from May 21st to October 29th).

3. Jeju Air (ICN - DAD, 7 flights/week from May 1st to October 29th)

4. Korean Air (ICN - DAD, 7 flights/week from July 1st to October 29th)

5. EVA Air (ICN - DAD, 2-7 flights/week from May 26th to October 29th)

Based on the epidemic situation, the Ministry of Health temporarily suspend health declaration for arrivals entering Vietnam via all border gates from April 27th. This is a good sign for the aviation industry and the tourism industry when removing prevention measures, creating comfortable experiences for foreign tourists to explore sceneries.
